you all still have zoidberg
I wrote a thing about Downton Abbey (which, btw, is now available on Netflix Instant. I recommend it!) here.
AND NOW FOR A POINTLESS MEME
A. Age: 26 for three weeks more. (cough cough)
B. Bed size: Queeeeen. My bed is pretty fantastic, ngl.
C. Chore you hate: Vacuuming. I mean, I actually find it sort of satisfying, but I get really tetchy about having to clear EVERY LAST THING off the floor that can possibly be moved, so it takes forever and I always end up really hot and tired. Ditto for mopping, which is even worse (friends can attest to how scandalized I get over it), but I do much more rarely.
D. Dogs: MY FAVORITE. Rue is a black terrier-dachshund mutt with floppy ears and an uncanny ability to conduct two-way conversations. She looks like a Disney cartoon dog and oscillates in demeanor between Hailee Steinfeld (precious precious princess) and Hedonismbot (Jombe! The chocolate sauce!).
E. Essential start to your day: ~*~PAXIL~*~
F. Favorite color: A deep, hot fuchsia/magenta pink. You see it a lot in Mexico and it was prominent in Kate Spade's last season, although not the new collection. ;__; As you can see from my pink the color tag, I like all pink, but that particular shade delights me in every time.
G. Gold or silver: Toss-up.
H. Height: 5'4".
I. Instruments I play: To my everlasting sorrow, none well enough to mention.
J. Job title: sad person
K. Kids: littlekidlover
L. Live: day to day
M. Mom's name: Kathleen
N. Nicknames: "Tris" was my self-appointed name for the internetz, later updated to Beatricks, so everything else -- Tristopher/Tristoffer, Hobbes, Hobo, Poodle, Buttons, Beatrice, Beatrix, Guy, Cone, etc. -- is a genuine nick. IRL I get called Town, Stupid, Rakie, Bae, Baych, etc. etc.
Generally only people who don't know me call me by my actual name.
O. Overnight hospital stays: I think I might have been hospitalized for some illness when I was a baby, but none in my conscious life.
P. Pet peeve: CERTAIN PEOPLE who turn on the TV, watch for a few minutes, and then walk away with it still on.
Q. Quote from a movie: "Who taught you math?!"
R. Right or left handed: Right.
S. Siblings: My magical older sister, age 32. With whom I currently live, along with our parents and pets! It's very magical.
T. Time you wake up: Generally like 9-11.
U. Underwear: Hate it. Though I recently found what may be the world's least annoying cut, care of Victoria's Sekrit.
V. Vegetables you dislike: CILANTROOOO which is not really a vegetable but still the worst, and also yams, and whilst I will eat squashes and zucchini and eggplant if necessary, the texture displeases me every time.
W. What makes you run late: haha, what do you got?
X. X-Rays you've had: Last day of swim team practice in ninth grade, slipped in the showers and broke a tiny bone in my foot. (Which, btw, nobody could do anything about -- no cast, no crutches -- so I just limped in sneakers for a few weeks and was forced to sit out from the one PE sport I actually wanted to play. My teacher said I could umpire, but as she didn't tell anybody ELSE that, nobody listened to my calls.)
Y. Yummy food you make: Soy chorizo tacos!
Z. Zoo: Disapprove. Give me the aquarium any day.
And about TV
I am caught up with and in love with most things pertaining to: Skins (so many feelings!!), The Good Wife (aaaa), Parks and Recreation (light of my life, fodder for all my dreams), and Nikita (Nikita).
I am at least five episodes behind on The Vampire Diaries with no particular desire to catch up per my friends' reactions.
I have been so cranky with Fringe lately and this most recent episode threatened to be such a potential ... THING that I have not yet worked up the emotional energy to watch it, although I believe I soon will.
Everything else is in various states of apathetic behindness, since I am more interested in Jane Austen than anything else lately anyway. I have things to say, which may or may not eventually be said. Er, over and out.

I'm about to go into more detail in the comment below, but I must say: the first four seasons of Skins vary WILDLY in content and quality. Every two seasons hits a reset button with a new cast and new storylines, so you don't actually have to "catch up" -- and I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
