They didn't really go in for series-long arcs like in New Who, I don't think, but did a lot of multi-episode plots instead, which makes it a bit easier to get into. I've seen a couple of the Fourth Doctor ones- "Genesis of the Daleks" was good. I might pick my dad's brain on this when I go home after Easter as he grew up on Classic Who.
