As a fellow Californian, I can relate! I would live in my flip flops year round if I could. I really love my Rainbows: mine are leather, but they make them in hemp as well. They're flip flops with arch support, and I find that they're the most comfortable for general walking around. Once you've broken them in, they sort of mold to your feet. I think they look pretty nice as flip flops go, and they're pretty ubiquitous in my area and no one thinks they look hideous or anything.
